I suffer from bad acne breakouts on my cheek, can a dermatologist really help?

The thing is im 15, and I know acne is common in teens, I want to know if seeing a dermatologist could really get rid of it.

The thing is I use cleansers in the morning and night, if I touch my face I go to the bathroom and wash it to prevent any clogged pores, but I still get these red areas on my cheeks, and these little bumps around my face.

It%26#039;s really pissing me off, and I want to know if they can actually help or are my hormones just going to keep acting up.

Thanks in advance.|||Go to the dermatologist. they will give you prescription medicine for your skin. I%26#039;m 18 and I never had problem with my skin and then in September I started to have problems on my cheeks and neck. I finally went to the dermatologist because nothing was working for me. I have been going for 3 months and my skin looks great.

I take a pill and i have a couple different medicines i put on my skin.

Good luck =]|||i know alot of people say to go, but i have a few times and what they prescribe isnt alot different from cheaper over the counter stuff, and none of it worked for me. try some different DIY treatments. that is what ive started doing and its doing way better because im using natural stuff. like make different masks. i use half an asprin mixed with a small spoonful of water for spot treatments and that works great 4 me. also steam your face with aloe vera. make some tea, put it in a bowl and put your face over it and put a towel over it all to make a personal steamy room.

hope i helped XDDDDDDDDDD|||it%26#039;s worth it if it is bad enough...i had really bad acne on my cheeks that came out of nowhere and it left scars that are still there months later. i went to a dermatologist and they gave me antibiotics/cream that really helped. i only wish i had gone sooner to prevent the scars|||go see ur Dr. they could also Prescribe you creams. for really bad acne and refer you to a dermatologist..|||you should absolutely go. they can give you prescription strength medicine that can help clear up your face. it%26#039;s not guaranteed, but it%26#039;s definitely worth a shot.|||wash your face %26amp; then use benzoyl peroxide cream from your hospital pharmacy. differin from those tv commercials work too, %26amp; you can get those as a prescription from your doctor.

it smells good! http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j鈥?/a>|||I went to a dermatologist. All she did is lecture me why you get breakout and how that happens. And gives you a facial that smells like crap. so idk. You will outgrow it. hope that helped|||no, a dermatologist can not help, its only their specialty.

yes they will make a word of difference for you|||Your growing a penis|||You mention that you have acne breakouts on your cheeks. If that is where you started to breakout then you may have to change your diet.

However if the breakouts began on the chin area, then that is hormonal acne which is difficult to treat.

Hair resting on the face can also be the cause of your breakouts.

It may still be wise for you to visit a dermatologist. You can do this and make some changes to your diet at the same time.

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables especially green vegetables as well as almonds and pumpkin seeds.

Other great food sources are tuna, salmon and sardine as these contain omega 3 fatty acids. These foods work wonders on the skin.

Drink 8-10 glasses of water every day as well as a glass of warm water with half of a lemon first thing in the morning.

Stay away from oily foods and junk foods.

Try fasting from red meat for 2 weeks.

Red meat takes long to digest and leads to toxins accumulating in the body that can later appear on the skin as breakouts.

Try this approach and see if this will make a difference on your skin.
