Are acne injections bad for you? Do they leave scars?

I%26#039;m 18 and I went 2 my dermatologist and got two pimples injected w. cortisone shots today...1 of them went down ALOT but the other is still very sore and inflamed...I%26#039;ve been hearing a lot of speculation about how cortizone shots cause scarring or pocks...is this true? can someone who has gotten these shots b4 please repond?
