Does your acne become worst when you wear make up such as concealer or foundation?
Please give me some help I think my skin has gotten worst since I started wearing make up. Does it have any effect on my skin in any way?|||It can cause your face to break out more if you sleep in your make up or wear it too long. Be sure that you NEVER go to bed with your makeup on. And you should also check out mineral makeup, like bare Essentials or Jane Iredale because it doesn%26#039;t clog pore or harbor bacteria.|||If you have a history of clogged pores and break outs, liquid foundation probably isn%26#039;t for you. Unless you get a non-comedogenic foundation.
Liquid foundation is good for people with dry skin
If you have oily skin I recommend a powder foundation like Bare Minerals or some other kind of mineral make up.|||It does if you choose a foundation with acne-causing ingredients. Go to this website and choose a foundation that doesn%26#039;t include any of the ingredients rated 3, 4, or 5. (I%26#039;d choose a Physicians Formula mineral makeup.) http://www.zerozits.com/Articles/acnedetect.htm|||it can. if you%26#039;ve noticed this, then try using less concealer and foundation. make sure you always wash your face at night getting all the make up off. if you have oily skin to start with, use products that are made for skin like yours.
another tip is to use proactiv, or another kind of face wash.
and eventually if you use it, you won%26#039;t have to wear any kind of cover up. just keep using the face wash.|||i dont have sensitive skin so i can wear almost anything and not break out.
it all depends on your skin type and how it reacts with the makeup. you%26#039;re probably using makeup that is too harsh/reacting badly with your skin which is why you%26#039;re breaking out. i would try different brands and see what works for you.

Does being in the sun make acne worse?
I live in Southern California, so I%26#039;m in the sun and at the beach all the time. Does being in the sun make acne worse or bigger?|||Actually one of the light spectrums produced by the sun kills acne causing bacteria.
But, sweating in the sun can clog pores. So it goes both ways.
Getting a sunburn will aggravate acne and the skin that peels will also clog pores. So use sunscreen.

Though acne is one of the most common skin disorders, most former patients feel no need to display their scars like war wounds from a hard won battle, and once sufferers have achieved the clear skin they have longed for so long, they move swiftly into a new fight 鈥?how to remove, or at least lessen, their acne scars.
Just as there are different types of acne, there are also different types of acne scar. While the painful cyst type acne usually leaves scarring of some kind, some former patients find themselves with minimal damage after suffering with this type of the condition, while others who have had more superficial blemishes find that they scar badly. Scars are caused by both the build-up of excess tissue and by the loss of tissue due to acne, and the type of treatment that is appropriate will vary from patient to patient. But medical advances have led to a number of new developments, which means that there is even an effective treatment for deep acne scars available.
Most types of the skin condition leave indented acne scars, which are difficult to conceal using makeup. Thankfully, there are available treatments for these deep acne scars, which can even out the appearance of the skin. Chemical peels can be used for shallower acne scars, while dermabrasion can penetrate the skin at a deeper level. One of the most recent developments in this field is the use of laser treatment for acne scars, which uses the energy of a laser to penetrate the skin and improve its appearance. Different types of laser have different healing properties 鈥?a consultation with a dermatologist will help determine which laser treatment for acne scars will have the best effects on your skin.
Scars, particularly acne facial scars, can be a daily reminder of a time you are very glad to see the back of, but thankfully there are treatments available to help you achieve the skin you deserve. Make an appointment with a dermatologist and find out how you can say good bye to those acne scars for good.

I used Tetracyclin, Proactive, Retina A and had many expensive facials with less than good results.
This has worked for me and many many other happy people.
Go to pharm.,Drug store, or Walmart, buy %26quot;PURPOSE%26quot; bar of soap - Blue box - Made by Johnson %26amp; Johnson - wash your face with this
2-3x%26#039;s per day. Also pick up a LOW strength Benzoyl-peroxide cream, apply the cream by dabbing
to the individual blemishes.... DONT rub it in works using a oxidation/reduction reaction..It will unclog
dry it out and bring it to a head...DONT over use this or put anywhere else on your face. It will cause drying and make you look worse.
Salicylates such as found in regular asprin among other products work very similar but also remove layers of skin...
other over the counter creams with this product will dry out pimples but maybe too hash and cause surrounding skin trauma..
I have seen many people recommending crushing asprin and making a paste which probably will dry out the blemish but again
pretty strong and probably will cause more tissue damage and bigger scars as an anti inflammatory
probably would take the reddness out... again pretty harsh for sensative skin.
Also, If need which probably will for moisture ASK FOR %26quot;NUTRADERM lotion%26quot; - the orginal not the new stuff, this works
great and wont clog pores or leave a residue on your skin...Any lotion that is completely oil free and hypoallergic should
work but again I recommend Nutraderm. I have heard from people online that %26quot;Purpose%26quot; also makes a lotion that is good, Nutragena, and Nivea
make good products also. I recommend Nutraderm from experience and my dematologist.
%26quot;Purpose Bar%26quot; %26amp; %26quot;Nutraderm%26quot; are oil free and hypoallergic they contain no perfumes and are great for both men and women.
I have also heard great reports of this soap helping improve skin tone. Some people recommend the %26quot;Purpose luqid soap%26quot; saying
that the bar did dry out their skin some. The rational behind using the bar is that there are no ingredients in it that will clog pores, and
according to dermatologists they recommend the Bar. I have also heard good responses from %26quot;cetaphil soap%26quot;. These products are safe for all skin colors and tones. I highly discourage use
of Proactive and other harsh chemicals for people with some natural color in their face due to the bleaching and drying effect it has
shown in many many people.
Additonal TIPS: acne, pimples, etc are frequently cause by a bacteria or hormone issues that cause clogging of pores.
DONT PICK POP POKE (your hands are the dirtiest part of your body) and will cause: infections, spreading of germs, more breakouts and scarring
DONT EVER listen to people online who tell you to scrub your sensative skin or use harsh chemicals
such as: Lemon juice, vinagar, alcohol, etc... DONT EVER use that APRICOT CRAP!!! DONT USE
PROACTIVE- this is expensive and harsh it may kill the bacteria cause also Benzoyl based wash but
will irritate skin and cause bleaching of face and neck.... Other similar treatments may work.. also
things such as Accutane but have SERIOUS side effects such as Major Depression, %26amp; birth defects in unborn children, among others
If you wear make up make sure it is oil free, %26amp; hypoallergic...Eating healthy...Drinking plenty of water.. changing pillow cases freq.
etc ...avoiding dirty sports equp. such as helmets...can not hurt...Acne/pimples again are caused by pores/hair follicles becoming plugged
up, this plugging then causes an inflammatory reaction - reddness and infection (pimple)..black head is dirt trapped in pore, while a white
head is the same thing you just dont see the dirt instead you see white pus (lymphocytes that accumulate in the area to fight the infection)
It has been shown in many studies this most often not caused by what you eat (chocolate etc... or how clean you are) but most often by either excess oils plugging pores or a bacteria
on the skins surface. - Proactive works in some people because it is a strong Benzoyl peroxide based washed but is most freq. to strong
for people with sensative skin - this is why alot of people get excessive drying and flaking, rashes, bleaching or breakouts from the product.
Retina-A does decrease the bacterial growth on your face but also removes dead/living skin, this can work well in some individuals and
has been shown to reduce wrinkles and scars but again I feel this is pretty harsh on sensative skin prone to breakouts. If you choose
Retina-A never use this product during the day only at night due to the sensativity it will give you to the sun. You must also get a perscription
for this product and I really don%26#039;t believe it is worth the damage it does to your skin. In some rare cases for very deep/large boils and cyst types
of pimples oral antibiotics maybe needed but I would first recommend trying %26quot;purpose%26quot; and a low dose %26quot;benzoyl-peroxide cream%26quot; along with a good
oil free moisturizer %26quot;Nutraderm... etc%26quot; this does work well.
THIS WORKS FAST AND CHEAP!!! I no longer get expensive facials, take oral antibiotics, or even NEED makeup... I am very happy - Have
very good skin... and have many many other happy friends... THANKS again to my WONDERFUL
DERMATOLOGIST... TRY THIS!! GOOD LUCK.... PS. %26quot;PURPOSE%26quot; costs about $3 ----------------------------------------鈥?br>

Paramedic in SC|||ask ur dermotoligist if you can try minocycline. i have sudden out burst and dry skin, and u take it for like a year but, i havent been back to refill in 2yrs and am just now having outburst again.|||THIS WORKS FAST %26amp; CHEAP!!!

I have really bad acne that won't go away...what should I do???????????
if you have really bad acne, you should talk to your doctor. he/she will be able to prescribe you medication (stronger than anything you can buy on the shelves... and for about the same price with insurance) to help control your acne. he/she may also refer you to a dermatologist, a doctor who speciallizes in skin treatment.
aside from that, try not to pick at your acne or touch your face. picking will only make your acne worse by irritating the already inflammed area. the oils from picking your acne and the oils from your hands may clog more of your pores. the main cause of acne is clogged pores. it is also a good idea to wash your hands often.|||Yes, you can find these types of cremes and washes at your local pharmacy. I have been using it for years and it cleared my face up well. If you have any kind of scar from acne then it will clear it up also.|||the best thing you can do is wash both your hands and your face often . do this at school during the day as well that is wash your face.
next when at home use a very hot towel or face cloth and put that over your face and do this repeatedly until you are sure the pores are open . wash your face with anti bacterial soap often comes as dish soap but says that it is anti bac. on it.
then after you have washed following this hot water bit just put the hot towel on your face get really hot and then cold cold water and do that repeatedly.
the drug stores have lots of different products to treat this problem you should just start with the cheap ones and work through them until you find one that works well for you .
the pharmacist will also be a big help just ask them.
oh one more thing you can leave some straight anti bacterial soap right on a blemish over night just stop doing that if the skin becomes to dry
the person above me said you can use rubbing alcohol and that is right too . both the anti bacterial soap and the rubbing alcohol will kill the germs it comes it direct contact with . the soap also breaks down the oil makes it thinner and it leaves the body more easily .|||proactiv|||Hi, i used to use PROACTIV but it dosen%26#039;t work that well, try Dermalogica, it%26#039;s the best thing ever http://www.dermalogica.com and DRINK PLENTY OF WATER. They looked rough and horrible. I started getting acne when I was 12 or 13 and I am now 19. I know that Proactiv is not cheap and since you are still young, you might not be able to go to get it by yourself but in my town, they sell it at the mall and that%26#039;s where I got it from. I started using it because I saw it on the TV and also heard about it from my best friend who had it. She told me that it worked very well and now I see that she has no acne on her face. So I decided to go to the mall to get it and used it. It worked so well...but it wont work right away though. You have to keep using it...just give it some time and...trust me...it will work and your face will be all cleared. It worked so well on my face...now I don%26#039;t have acne much anymore. But actually I have some other solutions for you too. Well I would say that Proactiv is the best but if you don%26#039;t want to get it or want to try other solution, I%26#039;ve also tried Clearasil Ultra series. Here is the site for you.
http://www.clearasil.us/what_ultra.shtml
I am pretty sure you%26#039;ve heard about this or at least have seen it at some stores. They worked pretty well too. I only used the Ultra Daily Face Wash and Ultra Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream. So I don%26#039;t think you will need to get all the Ultra stuff but some...and I think they will work at least a bit...well I hope though...I hope they would work for you too because they did for me. I%26#039;ve also tried to go to see a dermatologist (a skin doctor) and he gave me some medicines so I took them and they worked pretty well too. But I%26#039;ve done all of those things after I talked to my parents though. All of those solutions were my parents%26#039; ideas actually. So I suggest you to talk to your parents about this first and see if they will get you Proactiv or if they have some other great ideas or something for you. next when at home use a very hot towel or face cloth and put that over your face and do this repeatedly until you are sure the pores are open . wash your face with anti bacterial soap often comes as dish soap but says that it is anti bac. on it.
then after you have washed following this hot water bit just put the hot towel on your face get really hot and then cold cold water and do that repeatedly.
the drug stores have lots of different products to treat this problem you should just start with the cheap ones and work through them until you find one that works well for you .
the pharmacist will also be a big help just ask them.
oh one more thing you can leave some straight anti bacterial soap right on a blemish over night just stop doing that if the skin becomes to dry
the person above me said you can use rubbing alcohol and that is right too . both the anti bacterial soap and the rubbing alcohol will kill the germs it comes it direct contact with . the soap also breaks down the oil makes it thinner and it leaves the body more easily .|||proactiv|||Hi, i used to use PROACTIV but it dosen%26#039;t work that well, try Dermalogica, it%26#039;s the best thing ever http://www.dermalogica.com and DRINK PLENTY OF WATER. Registered Nurse.|||As everyone already said, i think you should get Proavtiv. I used to have real bad acne on my face too. I mean my whole face...It was all red and bumpy and everything.

Severe acne is inflammatory, but acne can also manifest in noninflammatory forms. Acne lesions are commonly referred to as pimples, spots, or zits.
Acne is most common during adolescence, affecting more than 85% of teenagers, and frequently continues into adulthood. For most people, acne diminishes over time and tends to disappear, or at least decrease, after one reaches his or her early twenties. There is, however, no way to predict how long it will take for it to disappear entirely, and some individuals will continue to suffer from acne decades later, into their thirties and forties and even beyond
The term acne comes from a corruption of the Greek 维魏渭萎 (acme in the sense of a skin eruption) in the writings of A毛tius Amidenus. The vernacular term bacne or backne is often used to indicate acne found specifically on one%26#039;s back
There are many products sold for the treatment of acne, many of them without any scientifically-proven effects. Generally speaking successful treatments give little improvement within the first week or two; and then the acne decreases over approximately 3 months, after which the improvement starts to flatten out. Many treatments that promise big improvements within 2 weeks are likely to be largely disappointing. However short bursts of cortisone can give very quick results, and other treatments can rapidly improve some active spots, but not usually all active spots.
Modes of improvement are not necessarily fully understood but in general treatments are believed to work in at least 4 different ways (with many of the best treatments providing multiple simultaneous effects:
normalising shedding into the pore to prevent blockage
killing P. acnes
antinflammatory effects
hormonal manipulation
A combination of treatments can greatly reduce the amount and severity of acne in many cases. Those treatments that are most effective tend to have greater potential for side effects and need a greater degree of monitoring, so a step-wise approach is often taken. Many people consult with doctors when deciding which treatments to use, especially when considering using any treatments in combination. There are a number of treatments that have been proven effective:
Benzoyl peroxide cream.
Topical bactericidals
Widely available OTC bactericidal products containing benzoyl peroxide may be used in mild to moderate acne. The gel or cream containing benzoyl peroxide is rubbed, twice daily, into the pores over the affected region. Bar soaps or washes may also be used and vary from 2 to 10% in strength. In addition to its therapeutic effect as a keratolytic (a chemical that dissolves the keratin plugging the pores) benzoyl peroxide also prevents new lesions by killing P.acnes. In one study, roughly 70% of participants using a 10% benzoyl peroxide solution experienced a reduction in acne lesions after 6 weeks]Unlike antibiotics, benzoyl peroxide has the advantage of being a strong oxidizer (essentially a mild bleach) and thus does not appear to generate bacterial resistance. However, it routinely causes dryness, local irritation and redness. A sensible regimen may include the daily use of low-concentration (2.5%) benzoyl peroxide preparations, combined with suitable non-comedogenic moisturisers to help avoid overdrying the skin
Care must be taken when using benzoyl peroxide, as it can very easily bleach any fabric or hair it comes in contact with.
Other antibacterials that have been used include triclosan, or chlorhexidine gluconate but these are often less effective.
Prescription-strength benzoyl peroxide preparations do not necessarily differ with regard to the maximum concentration of the active ingredient (10%), but the drug is made available dissolved in a vehicle that more deeply penetrates the pores of the skin.
Topical antibiotics
Externally applied antibiotics such as erythromycin, clindamycin, Stiemycin or tetracycline aim to kill the bacteria that are harbored in the blocked follicles. Whilst topical use of antibiotics is equally as effective as oral, this method avoids possible side effects of stomach upset or drug interactions (e.g. it will not affect the oral contraceptive pill), but may prove awkward to apply over larger areas than just the face alone.
Oral antibiotics
Oral antibiotics used to treat acne include erythromycin or one of the tetracycline antibiotics (tetracycline, the better absorbed oxytetracycline, or one of the once daily doxycycline, minocycline or lymecycline). Trimethoprim is also sometimes used (off-label use in UK). However, reducing the P. acnes bacteria will not, in itself, do anything to reduce the oil secretion and abnormal cell behaviour that is the initial cause of the blocked follicles. Additionally the antibiotics are becoming less and less useful as resistant P. acnes are becoming more common. Acne will generally reappear quite soon after the end of treatment鈥攄ays later in the case of topical applications, and weeks later in the case of oral antibiotics.
It has been found that sub-antimicrobial doses of antibiotics such as minocycline also improve acne. It is believed that minocycline%26#039;s anti-inflammatory effect also prevents acne. These low doses do not kill bacteria and hence cannot induce resistance. Oral antibiotics such as Doxycycline have better results on the treatment of acne.and generally will work better if started with at a higher dose.
Hormonal treatments
In females, acne can be improved with hormonal treatments. The common combined oestrogen/progestogen methods of hormonal contraception have some effect, but the anti-testosterone, Cyproterone, in combination with an oestrogen (Diane 35) is particularly effective at reducing androgenic hormone levels. Diane-35 is not available in the USA, but a newer oral contraceptive containing the progestin drospirenone is now available with fewer side effects than Diane 35 / Dianette. Both can be used where blood tests show abnormally high levels of androgens, but are effective even when this is not the case. Along with this, treatment with low dose spironolactone can have anti-androgenetic properties, especially in patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome.
If a pimple is large and/or does not seem to be affected by other treatments, a dermatologist may administer an injection of cortisone directly into it, which will usually reduce redness and inflammation almost immediately. This has the effect of flattening the pimple, thereby making it easier to cover up with makeup, and can also aid in the healing process. Side effects are minimal, but may include a temporary whitening of the skin around the injection point; and occasionally a small depression forms, which may persist, although often fills eventually. This method also carries a much smaller risk of scarring than surgical removal.
Topical retinoids
A group of medications for normalizing the follicle cell lifecycle are topical retinoids such as tretinoin (brand name Retin-A), adapalene (brand name Differin) and tazarotene (brand name Tazorac). Like isotretinoin, they are related to vitamin A, but they are administered as topicals and generally have much milder side effects. They can, however, cause significant irritation of the skin. The retinoids appear to influence the cell creation and death lifecycle of cells in the follicle lining. This helps prevent the hyperkeratinization of these cells that can create a blockage. Retinol, a form of vitamin A, has similar but milder effects and is used in many over-the-counter moisturizers and other topical products. Effective topical retinoids have been in use over 30 years but are available only on prescription so are not as widely used as the other topical treatments. Topical retinoids often cause an initial flare up of acne and facial flushing (physiology).
Oral retinoids
Main article: Accutane
A daily oral intake of vitamin A derivative isotretinoin (marketed as Accutane, Sotret, Claravis) over a period of 4-6 months can cause long-term resolution or reduction of acne. It is believed that isotretinoin works primarily by reducing the secretion of oils from the glands, however some studies suggest that it affects other acne-related factors as well. Isotretinoin has been shown to be very effective in treating severe acne and can either improve or clear well over 80% of patients. The drug has a much longer effect than anti-bacterial treatments and will often cure acne for good. The treatment requires close medical supervision by a dermatologist because the drug has many known side effects (many of which can be severe). About 25% of patients may relapse after one treatment. In those cases, a second treatment for another 4-6 months may be indicated to obtain desired results. It is often recommended that one lets a few months pass between the two treatments, because the condition can actually improve somewhat in the time after stopping the treatment and waiting a few months also gives the body a chance to recover. Occasionally a third or even a fourth course is used, but the benefits are often less substantial. The most common side effects are dry skin and occasional nosebleeds (secondary to dry nasal mucosa). Oral retinoids also often cause an initial flare up of acne within a month or so, which can be severe. There are reports that the drug has damaged the liver of patients. For this reason, it is recommended that patients have blood samples taken and examined before and during treatment. In some cases, treatment is terminated or reduced due to elevated liver enzymes in the blood, which might be related to liver damage. Others claim that the reports of permanent damage to the liver are unsubstantiated, and routine tes|||Proactiv works as well as they say. Use it in the shower to make shure you wash it off good. I have really bad acne scars on my back...... what can i use or do to help lighten them up or get rid of them.
i cant go to any doctor of some sort for this............|||I do alot of sports so I get hurt often.
If the scars are real fresh n steal healing, as long as you take good care of it. It should all go away.
If they are real old theres a couple different ointment you can get at the store called scar-zone n stuff like that n they should either make them disappear or at least not so visible.
My personal favorite but I dont recommend especially on your back. I%26#039;ll get hurt in the exact same spot again It%26#039;ll get rid of all the old scared tissue, and just like before take real good care of it and you should be good as new

Why does your acne get worse at first when using prescription creams?
Okay so dermatologist prescribed me Tazorac Cream 0.1% for my acne and he says that my acne will get worse within the first 4 weeks of use but that after that it should start clearing up. Why does it get worse at first? Plus, I am currently on birth control (Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo). Will that stop the acne from getting worse?|||Taking care of your skin is the best way to reduce pimples. Choose cleansing products that are not overly harsh and are oil-free. Wash your face after sweating heavily. For young women, the use of makeup can exacerbate acne problems, so it is a good idea to pick cosmetics that are non-comedogenic, because they do not clog pores. Never go to sleep at night without washing your face. It is also imperative that you do not squeeze or pinch zits. You may be tempted to do it, but it can lead to scarring. Don%26#039;t spend a lot of time scrubbing your face, because it can make acne worse. It is also smart to avoid putting your hands on your face a lot, because the oil on your hands gets transferred to your face and can cause further outbreaks.|||A ten-year acne sufferer myself, I will show you how I cured my acne condition in 3 days the natural

I just started taking tetracycline for acne. How long will my acne be worse before it starts to improve?
I just started taking tetracycline, one 500mg capsule daily, for mild-to-moderate acne. My doctor warned me that my acne would get worse before it gets better. How long should it take before my acne improves?
Also, should I continue to use over-the-counter topical treatments in addition to the tetracycline?
Thanks!|||skin turns over every week, so i%26#039;d wait at least till then.
however you should never rely on just medication, but should be making lifestyle changes - like drinking TONS more water, exercise, wearing no (or only the right type of) makeup - ie. bare minerals
you should also use an air purifier in your room at night while you sleep and during the day in whatever room you spend the most amount of time in (ie. work desk/kitchen, etc).
when shopping for air purifiers, make sure you don%26#039;t get an ionic air purifier or an ozone one.
i%26#039;d check the reference below for specifics.
a proper air purifier cleans the oxygen, and pure oxygen kills indoor air pollutants as well as bacteria settling on your face|||Tetracycline is penicillin, an antibiotic. In general, an antibiotic needs a constant level to really work. 2 weeks should be enough time for you to see some affects.
The most important thing to remember is to take the pills on a regular basis. Don%26#039;t miss or postpone taking your dosages. Every time the level of antibiotics in your system decreases, will increase the # of days necessary to see the results. Try to take it at the same time every day.

If it doesn%26#039;t work for you, try googling %26quot;all about zits%26quot;. There is a new topical cream that they say works wonders and you can get it for under $20. The commercial is on television.

Can lotion cause body acne or make acne worse?

Will my acne get worse if i grow a beard?
My friend said the oil increases between the hairs and the acne gets worse if i grow a beard. Is this true? And will the acne go away after i shave?|||Yes, the hair will collect sebum. If you want to grow a beard, make sure you wash your face and the beard, thoroughly! |||Yes, it is true that acne is a disease that influences the skin%26#039;s oil glands. The small gaps in your skin, that are called pores, are in connection to oil glands under the skin. These glands make an oily substance called sebum. Now what you have to do is to keep all the time the pores open and clean. So growing a beard doesn鈥檛 make your acne getting worse. Anyway I can tell you some of the things that make it became worse: pressure from bike helmets, backpacks, tight collars, the pollution and high humidity, squeezing the pimples and a hard scrubbing of the skin. So these are the things that you have to be careful about .If you want to know more go on www.acnescars.org|||yes your acne will increase inless you clean the area throughly each day!

But, acne also can be caused by so many different things, it%26#039;s hard to just say Frito%26#039;s are the main cause of acne. Your skin cells are living, breathing things that are sponges of all environmental influences, stress, normal changes (which occur throughout life, not just in the younger years) atmospheric conditions that it%26#039;s hard to pinpoint just one thing or even one food item that could cause acne. Bad face acne, any help?
I%26#039;ve had a bit of acne for a little bit now, and it%26#039;s starting to bug me. The main acne that is bothering me is that there is are two big zits that I keep making a fuss about. One is on my nose and the other is on my forehead, right between my eyebrows. I%26#039;ve been using this acne shampoo like product but they won%26#039;t go away. People at my school really don%26#039;t care if you have a bit of acne or not, but is there any good products to get rid of my acne? Thank you!|||Havent had acne in a year because of this!!!!( i ocasionally get a small pimple...but hey thats normal!!!)
My skincare routine:
Cleanser: Basis....this is just a bar of soap that matches your pH level of your skin....so it wont dry out your face(if you don%26#039;t use moisturizer though it will) This cleanser seems simple and it is not meant to fight acne...but in a sense it does...it really cleans your face well without drying out your face...i didnt believe my mom when she recomended it...but man does it work wonders
Toner: Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner...really any toner you prefer is ok...but this it the one i use. Start from the top of your face and go towards the temples...aslo with cheeks...go towards the temples...then on chin go in circular motions only(not making it up...this is what you are supposed to do whenever applying anything to your face) This will take off the dead skin and make your pores smaller(helps with the dirt getting in) It also leaves face really smooth and nice looking!!!!
Moisturizer : Sheer Cover Oil Free Moisturizer...again any moisturizer will be good...just as long as it is oil free, made for the face, does not have any acne fighting agents in it. Dot it all over face then apply just like i said with the toner. Moisturizing can really halp fighting the acne. Did you know that dry skin is actually a cause for acne and pimples? The dry skin will actually clog your pores and therefore cause a breakout. Dont listen to people saying you just need to dry your face out...its a lie.
Facial scrub: Oatmeal and Sugar....seriously...this is the BEST scrub i have ever had....just take oatmeal and grind it into a powder and the add Sugar( more Sugar if you want more of a scrub...less if you just want something soothing) then add a little water and make like a paste( not too thick and not too thin) Rub on your face for like 3 minutes then rinse with warm water...put moisturizer on right afterward and your face will feel so refreshed and soft!!!!! Do it about once a week. Dont rub too hard or you will damage face. The oatmeal is for sootheing for face of redness and dry skin. The sugar is for exfoliation.
Steam your face for about 5 to 10 minutes a week. Mousturize right after you steam. This will open your pores and get all the dirt and grim out. It also helps with dryness. Dont steam and use the scrub on the same day. It is best to use it on seperate days. Dont ask me why...just figured it out. =)
I suffer a little more from dry skin...but yet it can get oily at times...but with this routine has been great....and now i don%26#039;t have a single blemish or patch of dry skin!!!!! It is amazing!!!!! Do this routine( excluding the scrub and steam) twice a day. Your skin will clear up...but in about a week or two your face will break out and that is a good sigh. This is because all of the dirt is getting out of your skin. Just keep with it and it will pay off in the long run...i have great skin right now(used to have horrible skin...i could have seriously been on one of those acne comercials it was so bad)...but now i have stuck with this routine and my skin is now soft and smooth!!!!!!!
Tips:
Vitamin E(taking it and also rubing on face) is really good for your skin
Olive oil is also good(rubbing on face...wamred...rinsed with warm water
Taking fish oil is also good
Try not to touch your face....it pushes the dirt into your face|||I actually went to the dermotologist (skin doctor) and told her about my once and a while break outs. When I get a pimple, it%26#039;s a BIG pimple, and it stays for a while, and if I attempt to touch it or squeeze it, it only gets worse, so I thought it was time to find a stronger cream than one I can get over-the-counter.
She prescribed me BenzaClin. It is clindamycin-benzoyl peroxide gel. It dries up pimples and prevents them when you think one is coming on, like you do now. See the doctor. It is worth it.|||Yes there are products that will help but you should see a dermatologist. I used to have severe acne and one trip to the dermatologist changed that. She prescribed a face wash and then Retin-A that I use on my face each day and that causes the skin to renew itself. It has been a godsend. I have glowing, clear, beautiful skin. Over the counter products do not work.
Good luck!!|||How to cure a pimple
1. Wash you skin thoroughly and pat it dry with clean towel.
2. Wrap an ice cube in a washcloth and hold it over the spot for a minute or two; it%26#039;ll help bring down the swelling.
3. Dip the end of a cotton swab into some diluted tea tree oil (available at any pharmacy, and trust me, this oil was meant for the skin!) and dot a tiny amount directly into the pimple.
4. Leave it alone to heal. Don%26#039;t pop, pinch, or squeeze pimples, it will only make it worse.
I have acne really bad, what can I do to clear it up?
Forget what everyone else is saying!!!
When I was in puberty, I would break out all over the place.
I tried numerous products, steaming my face, makeup, and bangs.
Nothing worked.
Products would work for several days and then, just as I would notice improvement, I would break out again.
Makeup and Bangs covered %26#039;em up, but didn%26#039;t help improve the situation- makeup- clogs pores, bangs- make forehead greasy- pimple heaven!
Then, I started track.
I didn%26#039;t know why, but all of a sudden my pimples started disappearing and reappearing in a weird pattern. It took me a while, but I discovered that when I did track (2 hours, 5 days a week) my pimples would be gone. Then, over the weekend, where I didn%26#039;t do anything- they would reappear. Bingo! The secret pimple killer is sweat!
It makes sense- sweat is the only thing that will attack pimples from the inside, forcing all the stuff that clogs your pores out.
All the methods mentioned so far come from the outside, and it%26#039;s WAY harder to cleanse the skin that way!
So, what you do is exercise. It doesn%26#039;t even have to be long. After I noticed the pattern, I would do, maybe 15-20 minutes of high intensity- sweat producing exercise. Now my skin is perfect! People ask me about it all the time.
I promise- in two weeks those babies will be history!
Plus, you get in shape too!
xoxoxo|||Benzoyl Peroxide. Underlined underlined underlined! That%26#039;s all I can tell you. It comes in a beauty bar and as a cream-it%26#039;s very drying but when used with moisturizer, you should have no problems. What it does is creates a barrier on the pores to prevent dirt from being trapped. The oxygen from the product repels dirt and bacteria therefore clearing current acne and preventing new acne from appearing.
Food doesn%26#039;t necessarily play a huge role in acne, but a lot of acne can be reduced by consuming antioxidants from fruits and teas. And ridding toxins is also essential-so get a daily dose of walking or running or swimming-anything that gets your heart pumping and body sweating!|||I wash my face with warm water then with noxzema deep lathering cleanser and then astringent from noxzema.
And if you have blackheads use biore%26#039; deep cleansing pore strips. It makes your face open and feel like your special.
Good luck I know it took me forever to find something good.|||Proactive is really good only you have to put three different creams on your face every night. What I do is take my military dog tags and use them to pop all the zits I have and I clean my face with alchohal. It works for me.|||It sounds silly, like an infomercial... But Proactiv is seriously the best thing you can use to clear skin up, it really works. It IS on the pricey side, but it is so worth it if you%26#039;re really having a problem.|||Murad works
expensive as hell
burns like hell
but works and tones the skin
your face may break out in the first or second week but it clears up really fast after that
WOULD NOT USE IF UR FACE IS SENSITIVE |||Uh....Lay off of all the pizza, burgers and fast food....yeah I%26#039;m talking to you.

I've been on minocycline ( an antibiotic for acne) for a year and my skin's still bad. Accutane the next step?
my mom is against me using accutane because of the side effects and she says that my acne isn%26#039;t bad enough. Ideas on how to pursuade her? and more importantly, is accutane safe to take?|||Minocycline is not working for you because your skin is still providing the environment needed for the P. acnes bacteria to proliferate.
I can%26#039;t say whether you SHOULD take Accutane or not because it%26#039;s up to you. Go to the dermatologist with your mom. Weigh the pros against the cons. Discuss. Voice out your opinion. It%26#039;s very important. Then maybe there will be an answer or an alternative to your predicament. Side effects of Accutane are many. It affects most, if not all. I don%26#039;t know what is your acne condition so I can%26#039;t really evaluate your case. Usually, if you have mild to moderate acne, low doses of Accutane is effective enough yet not strong enough to give you all the side effects.
Acne scars - both physically and emotionally. Many people, like your mom, just dismiss it as something trivial because it is not life-threatening. But I think it goes way down inside of one who suffers from acne - lowers self-esteem, confidence and everything else. It%26#039;s tough, I know. Are you feeling very uneasy about your acne? If yes, tell it to your mom. Voice out your feelings. Acne sucks, and NO ONE should suffer from it. No one.
You gotta know for yourself whether are you willingly to bear with all the side effects of Accutane. It is safe to take with monitoring under your dermatologist. But recently, news reports have stated that 26 teens have suffered from depression and committed suicide, and medical reports have linked it to Accutane.
We are living in a world obssessed with beauty. And I don%26#039;t think anyone deserve to suffer from this chronic disorder. i am probably one of the most acne prone person there is. i get acne more than any other people i know and since i have a really sensitive skin, i try to avoid wind as much as possible because i know touching my face, friction, and all that are not good for acne. so.... am i just crazy for avoiding wind or is it really bad for my acne?|||It%26#039;s possible that excessive exposure to wind my trigger your acne. This could be for several reasons. One, it irritates your skin, which can lead to a flare up. Two, wind can dry out your skin, which can make your skin produce more oil to make up for it, which can block your pores and lead to a flare up.
However, if wind hasn%26#039;t affected your skin before, you may be ok.
You may also want consult with a dermatologist to get you on some sort of a program. It may be a lot of trial and error, but it could get you on the right path so that you aren%26#039;t scared to even step outside. Remember, acne, as cosmetic as it is, is still a medical condition. Doctors are there to help you.

Weekly exfoliation. You can use a facial peel every week. Always follow the directions on the box and use sunscreen every day!
Check out the following link:|||Multani mitti is a kind of mud. It is also called Fuller%26#039;s earth. Apply a pack of it to treat pimples. Suitable for oily skin only as it absorbs dead cells along with excess oil. Best to apply as mask by making a paste with rose water.|||I suffer from this. and it really is beyond annoying. Your not alone.
Ive tried all the products under the sun, they work for a week or two and then make things worse. I recently brought a garnier 3 in one product which is a mask a wash and a scrub all in one. the mask works wonders.
But i find the best thing to do is just to use hot water (as hot as you can take it) wash really thoroughly with just your hands, making sure to concentrate on the oily areas. Then really scrub dry with a towel. Dont hurt yourself just do it strong enough to remove oil.
Sounds silly but changing your pillowcases and bedding frequently helps a hell of a lot too.
Other than that look at your diet, cut out cheese and overly fatty/greasy foods.
Exercise helps more than anything. You can literally sweat the oil out.
Ive suffered from this for years now and you have to work at it.
If it gets worse, go to the doctors they%26#039;ll sort you out with a steroid cream or tablets. Hope i helped. and stick with it. it will work, honestly.|||Try this simple remedy. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the pimples like soap. The secret of keeping the skin clear is to keep it oil-free and clean. Why is it that the longer my hair is, the worse my acne gets?
Usually whenever I shave my head, I have little to no acne. Conversely, when I grow my hair out, I seem to have acne a lot worse than when I had shorter hair.
Is there any science to back this up, or is this simply coincidence?|||It%26#039;s not a coincidence. Long hair attracts oil which aggravates the acne. You can read about it here:http://kidshealth.org/teen/your_body/ski鈥?/a>|||Do you shave it completely?
The acne could be from the hair sprouting back through the skin, sometimes hairs get caught under the skin, which causes an infection in that area, aka, acne.|||Your hair has natural oils on it so when it is longer it is natural for those oils to be brushed off onto your skin. Keep your hair absolutely clean or shave it. Your choice.|||the hair i touching the face will make your skin greasy, and therefore you may well get more acne.

Why is my acne so bad?
So I%26#039;m 16 years old, I eat healthy, and clean my skin regularly. About 3 weeks ago I moved back in with my mom and broke out. The two months before that I had been living with my cousin. I moved out because my parents were splitting up and I wanted to avoid the drama. While I was living with my cousin my skin was the clearest its ever been, and nothing really has changed except I%26#039;m living with my mom again.. Help please? Anything will help, thanks in advance!!|||It could be stress from moving, or else the likely cause is hormones. Over the counter type acne medicines could help. If it persists and really bothers you I would suggest going to the dermatologist and hopefully they can find something that would work for you. I used Benzaclin and that worked pretty well, but everyone is different.
