I%26#039;ve always struggled with acne growing up. I%26#039;m almost 24. I started seeing a Nutritionist last year and it had really started clearing up. In the last two months though it%26#039;s progressively gotten worse. It%26#039;s the WORST it%26#039;s ever been in my life. Not just small things but very bad, painful underground ones that are hard to get rid of. I currently have 6 just on my face and that%26#039;s not including my back. Last time I went in to see my Nutritionist he said I was having some Thyroid problems. Any chance that could be the cause?! I%26#039;m desperate to figure out what%26#039;s going on as it%26#039;s so random. Any advice would be fabulous.|||See a Dermatologist and ask them about the thyroid problems. More than likely they will want to do a blood draw to check your Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Levels (TSH), a hormone that regulates the activity in your thyroid gland. However, more than likely you are still going through puberty; most people don%26#039;t realize that it ends around 23-ish. The skin doc will probably put you on an antibiotic such as minocycline to deal with it (I was on this for a bit, it seemed to help substantially).
Either way, even though diet does have an effect on integumentary (skin) health, a nutritionist can%26#039;t correct everything, and a dermatologist is needed as they specalize in these types of things. See one.|||Not thyroid, but go to a dermatologist like I did.
My dermatologist gave me a book she got off the internet. She told me to do as the book said.
So me and my girlfriends did it together and started school 8 days later w/great looking skin.

Anyway, TO TEH DOCTROZ?!?!?|||it could be...thyroid is whether youre hormones are normal...if they are going to fast (idk) then they will need to prescribe you medecine to slow down the excretion of hormones...better go see a doctor...|||6 is not that bad so i doubt its ur thyroid |||What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne.
