i have acne on my chin, and some on my temples, and a little around my cheeks. it has never really been this bad, besides when i have my period, which i don%26#039;t. i used to use proactiv, which worked really well. when it ran out, my parents just never got around to getting me more, so i%26#039;ve used basically every acne product. right now i%26#039;m using clearasil extra acne clearing scrub, which used to make pretty much all of my acne dissapear, but for some reason it isn%26#039;t working! also, at night i put on clean%26amp;clear persagel over my zits, which also used to work well but isn%26#039;t working so good.
i%26#039;m fifteen years old, and at my next physical (which isn%26#039;t until october) i%26#039;m going to talk to my doctor about going to a dermatolagist. i really don%26#039;t want to go back to school having all this gross acne, so what can i do in the mean time?|||Try any medicine with salicylic acid. It worked when I was a teen. Also, stay away from sweets. Deep fried foods and sweets aggravate acne.
Also, here%26#039;s something you can try: get an eggplant and slice it thin, hold it on to the infected areas for as long as you can, at least 30 minutes. This sucks out the pus. Then put on the salicylic acid|||Clean your face every morning with cotton ball soaked with apple cider vinegar, might sting a little but very effective, try if you don%26#039;t have a sensitive skin. Try on a small part first. Check out http://usefulinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more tips.|||you can try using fresh aloe vera on your face.or try steaming your face with hot water or use sea breeze(facial cleaser).|||Stick to one acne product. Using more then one can sometimes make you break out worse.|||Everyone%26#039;s skin is different, but when I was 16-18 my skin had two types of acne. During my period, I would get the big painful zits and when you tried to pop them or picked at them, they scabbed and took forever to go away. However, every once in a while, I would get the little %26quot;whitehead%26quot; pimples that would pop and were more superficial. For that, I found that the %26quot;AcneFree%26quot; set at Walgreen%26#039;s/CVS worked really well, but the best stuff for me was a set kind of like ProActive, but available at drugstores, called %26quot;Dermafina%26quot; ..don%26#039;t even know if they still make it, but the acne spot treatment in it was super good, had lots of vitamins and salycilic (spelling?) acid.
The acne type of hard cystic painful %26quot;under the skin%26quot; zits is just hormonal changes unfortunately. Birth control like the NuvaRing that delivers constant hormone levels instead of the pill might help with that, but unfortunately some people%26#039;s bodies respond to hormone changes differently.
I%26#039;m in healthcare, but I%26#039;m not a physician, so only my opinion and definitely not a professional one. Hope all clears up!
